Honest opinion here guys, which one of the two do you think is 'kinder'? Youko Kurama or Kuronue?

Why do you believe so?

Me? I think Kuronue is the nicer of the two. His sacrifice to let Kurama escape is self-explanatory there. But are there any other reasons?

Would like to hear your thoughts on it members.

I don't really think either is 'kinder' than the other, they're both ruthless killers who've had to do unspeakable things to survive (most likely considering the way life is in Makai). The situation they found themselves in could easily have been the opposite and though despite Kurama having the ability to manipulate plants I still think he would have told Kuronue to keep going had it been him that had been trapped. But one could argue that such a 'sacrifice' would not really be a sacrifice per say simply because of Kurama's ability with plants.

I think they shared a mutual respect and desire for the other to be okay but their drive for self preservation is stronger than that.

So without really having seen much else about Kuronue in either canon I find it hard to say which is the less hardened of the two.

Just my two cents. ^_^

I think it's also fairly hard to say, since we see (and even hear) so little about Kuronue.

His sacrifice makes it pretty clear that he cares a lot about Kurama, but Kurama's initial unwillingness to leave him (and the look on his face - I think - seems to indicate how hard leaving really is) is also a fair statement that Kurama returns the feeling.

If pressed, I think I'd have to say Kuronue is probably just a tiny bit "kinder" than Kurama, if only because we hear an awful lot about Kurama being a ruthless, cold-blooded demon killer, and very little (if any at all) about Kuronue in the same vein. But that may just be because we don't really hear much about Kuronue at all.

I'd like to think that the two did actually care about one another, and - in that sense - are kinder than most demons. At the same time, though, I think they cared very little for anything or anyone else. Hard to say.

I also believe they cared for each other, the same way most duo-teams work, but I feel in a way, by the tiniest indication, Kuronue is a bit kinder for sacrificing himself and letting Kurama get away when Kurama could have perfectly used his abilities to manipulate the plants and avoid getting hunted down.

heh ... I think even the fake kuronue was kinder than Youko kurama XDDD (kidding) ... I think you can't entirely base either's kindness in relation to each other becuase they were the ohters exception to the ruthlessness rule ... although we do get to see that youko kurama manipulated Youmi and subsequently blind him ... (so really Youmi is the kindest since rather than get mad at Kurama for ruining his life (despite the fact he'd been waiting hundereds of years to find out WHO had blinded him ... ) he killed the only one who knew kurama had done it ... XDDDD) Okay I'm way off topic now -__-;;

personally I'd like to think Kuronue is kinder but that is my own personal bias and there are no real facts to back that up.

Poor Yomi. Doomed for abusing.

I suppose that has a ring of truth there. We don't know much to nothing about Kuronue himself. We can't really base Kuronue's personality from the fake Kuronue.
